RENTING PARKING SPACE TO NON RESIDENT

This is not allowed in the City of San Diego(and possibly other Cities ) per SAN DIEGO MUNICIPAL CODE 142.0510(a)  

Specifically

Only tenants living on the premises can use the parking areas regardless the number of parking spaces the premises was developed with.

 

§142.0510 General Parking Regulations

(a) Use of Required Parking Spaces. Required off-street parking spaces, parking

areas, and transportation facilities shall be used only for parking operable

vehicles of residents, employers, employees, customers, and visitors as

appropriate to the allowed uses of the applicable zone.

 

If the City gets a complaint regarding this issue, the Code Enforcement Section will issue an Administrative Citation to the property owner.

"Customer" above does not include non resident tenants .
