1: Chips in enameled/porcelain tubs can be touched up and cracks as well because they are only on the surface coating.

2: Cracks in fiberglass tubs can cause extensive damage as they allow water to seep into the building framework, but can be patched 
    rather than refinishing the entire tub.

3: Part of the refinishing process is to allow the new coating to dry for three days.

4: Serious rust problems must be resolved 

5: Holes in tub/shower floor must be fixed to avoid leaks into fiberglass/floor below
