1: For new rentals, Section 8 requires landlords  to prove that the total rent requested matches those of

     comparable rentals and they may modify the total rent if there are changes in the levels of market rents.

5 For a new tenant moving in, Section 8 might pay less rent than the rent we marketed the property for and the

   rent the tenant agreed to pay even if a lease has been signed with the tenant and SDCPM. Section 8 may only let
   us know if this is the case several days after the move in inspection been done, by which time often the tenant
   has moved in.

6: An existing tenant may pay more than the max allowed for the  # of bedrooms as long as Section 8 approve
    and the total rent is not more than the market rent determined by Section 8
